Of course, the movie's future could be in flux due to Warner Bros.' possible sale to Paramount Skydance, as the project could be scrapped post-merger. Then again, Game of Thrones is crucial to the Warner Bros. and HBO brands, and that importance may help it come to fruition in a turbulent media landscape.
